Assessment status
Verification in progress
This package only earns Junior implementation-ready status after the current frozen package passes the full benchmark, independent handoff, live publication checks, and clean-context panel. Publication alone is not a pass.
No final numeric score is asserted before the evaluation evidence exists.
Four handoff tasks
| Task | Build outcome | Required verification |
|---|---|---|
| Extend a component | Add a long-label and loading state to the primary action inside a partnership form. | Verify native disabled state, status announcement, retained values, and 390 px layout. |
| Assemble a new page | Use the editorial shell and benchmark index components to assemble a new research entry with clearly fictional data. | Check title hierarchy, route links, type, alignment, and narrow reflow. |
| Add a reusable pattern | Add a local form-error summary using shared tokens and links to invalid fields. | Keyboard entry, visible focus, message relationships, no lost input. |
| Difficult cross-cutting case | Exercise validation error, offline fixture, long localized content, and responsive layout in one form. | No network mutation; values retained; retry, announcements, and keyboard flow work. |
Each exercise records Find, Choose, Specify, Implement, Verify, and Explain independently. The execution boundary is the frozen local reference, not Specific's private application code.

Maintaining this reference
- Package owner: the Pan Out design-research maintainer. Reinspect sources before applying these rules to a changed production design.
- Review date: September 13, 2026. The source can change after the capture; dated examples are not a live promise.
- Change a token or component centrally, regenerate examples, rerun local and live audits, then freeze a new identity.
- Asset-rights changes, form integrations, real personal data, and authenticated features require separate authority.
- Report mismatches with a route, viewport, state, screenshot, expected result, and source provenance.
Public research draft. This independent reference is not affiliated with Specific Labs. Examples use local fixtures and do not submit data. The research remains provisional and is not benchmark-certified. Source ownership and licenses are unchanged; this guide grants no redistribution rights.
This public draft is not a benchmark certification. Historical research and evaluation limits still apply.
